Our task was to write songs to defend a cause. We wrote songs to express our indignation about different subjects. We worked on homosexuality, child labour, and ecology.

Our task was to write songs to defend a cause. We wrote songs to express our indignation about different subjects. We worked on homosexuality, child labour, and ecology.

We liked expressing an idea in a different form and raising people’s awareness about different causes.

PROTEST SONG: Juliette, Angéline, Margaux, Marie.

To be sung to “Halo,” Beyoncé.

This day, I woke up and I realised

It was not the good person sleeping in my bed

Why does it keep happening?

And I remember this girl I saw yesterday at the pub

I want her to hug me.

I shake him to wake him up

I said “Baby, I love girls,”

He laughed, he said “You’re too pretty to be a dyke,”

and he goes back to sleep,

I packed my bags, but he catches my arm:

“Are you serious? Are you one of those lesbians who leave their armpit hair?

Yet I thought you were a good person,

But no, so leave this place and never come back,

Go back to your gay pride.”

He was so silly, and I realized only then,

Loving somebody is normal, why don’t people see it?

I’m still the same, I didn’t change, so

Why do people look at me differently?

I can feel your disgust,

I can see your judgement,

You don’t have to judge me,

Because it’s my life and not yours.

I went back to the bar every night,

The third time, she was there

Our eyes met and I sat next to her…

The next day I finally woke up next to the right person.

PROTEST SONG: Léa, Noah, Eva.

“A Different Life”

To be sung to “Logic - 1-800-273-8255” ft. Alessia Cara, Khalid.

I’m a boy, I’m 17 years old,

I don’t fit I society.

Some classmates don’t accept my choices,

I’m victim of insults and blows every day.

At the beginning, I thought they were laughing,

But that became more violent and more common.

Mom, Dad, hear my suffering,

I can’t control my feelings.

Does it mean I’m different?

Whether you accept it or not,

That’s who I am,

I won’t change.

I got rejected by my own family,

I can’t stand all this blame,

I prefer to stay alone and to go away.

Finally, my parents’ love overcame their anger,

Now, I live my life fully,

My past made me stronger.

PROTEST SONG: Marieke, Mathilde.

“Dark Snow in Hell”

To be sung to “Les Bronzés font du ski REMIX rock

First, the skiers will be surprised,

But it will do a good Instagram pic

The ski station will flourish

The misfortune of some makes the happiness of others.

It’s the dark snow,

Is this what snow looks like in Hell?

Kisseliousk, Lininsk-Kouznetski, Prokopievsk,

Satan retaliated.

At the bottom of the black run;

Waiting for us, is Mother Nature.

She warns us, the ski station will close soon.

If you don’t make a turn 180,

The slippery slope will end with us.

It’s the dark side of human progress

In Kouzbass, Belzebuth fell from the clouds

The sky looks like the mirror of our actions;

The carbon blackened our towns and our minds.

The industry did a switch 540 on the system

And brought out the 666 of the capitalism

We have become guilty by doing nothing,

Now it’s up to us to pay.

Satan filed an application for adoption.

PROTEST SONG: Yanis, Alicia, Tony, Clémence, Nina

« Proud of it »

To be sung to “Sac à dos,” Naza.

It does not matter if you are attracted to guys

If you do not dare to talk about it

The main thing is (to be proud of it)

Do not make it all flat

It’s not a drama

Even if you bush at his sight

You want to see him naked

You are not the first, nor the last

To want to tempt him

Because, after all

You’ll love it until the end.

It does not matter what you do,

Who you are.

Get married.

Get married.

Because, above all,

It is worth it.

Get married.

Get married

We’re all proud of you.

If next to you it’s a girl, it does not matter,

If now it’s become your reality, it does not matter.

If you’re stress as to how you’re going to tell you mother,

It will take time, for sure, to forget all these prejudices. Even

If you are a girl. But I think that one day,

She will accept that she also loves you a little stronger

She put her hand around my waist,

To feel the love but I don’t feel that way.

We all need love,

Words can’t bring you down,

No matter what we do,

Don’t bring me down.

It does not matter what you do,

Who you are.

Get married.

Get married.

Because, above all,

It is worth it.

Get married.

Get married

We’re all proud of you.

PROTEST SONG: Mathys, Faouzi.

“Let them have fun”

To be sung to “Imagine,’ John Lennon.

African, European, American, Asian,

Of any child and any nation.

Stop the economic exploitation.

Just tell me why,

You let those children die.

Let us try to stop the cries, let us try.

Imagine all those kids are yours,

Would you let them live this kind of life?

I’m wondering,

Would you be that inhuman?

No longer living in captivity,

But just happy and free,

So they can be,

The adults they’ve dreamt to be.

Imagine all those kids are yours,

Would you let them live this kind of life?

I’m wondering,

Would you be that inhuman?

Do you know rights?

And when they are happy,

On their faces: lights.

But their clothes are scrappy…

Why don’t you struggle,

For something meaningful?

PROTEST SONG: Ilyes

To be sung to “Tout oublier,” Angèle.

It’s the story of the world, that I’m going to tell you.

That story is about her, the Earth.

How did get there, are we so incompetent,

To do this consciously, to the Earth?

I tell you we have to stop, we just have to be intelligent,

I tell you we have to stop, we just have to be,

All, we must all be better

For the world, we must all be better,

We have to trust the Earth,

We just have to believe in ourselves.
